A priced vessel design for the future
Based on the demands from several different projects White Smoke Shipping AB has together with its parent company White Smoke AB developed a 1 400 dWT LNG/FO Bunker vessel called WS1.
The WS1 is designed with a flexible cargo configuration that combines traditional fuels as HFO and MDO with LNG. The makes it possible to change the cargo mixes in line with a changing market. There are three different configurations of the WS1, all with its own cargo mix. The LNG capacity is possible to vary between 700 m3 until 1 400 m3.Depending on the LNG capacity she is also able to handle up to 600 m3 of HFO and up to 1 000 m3 of MDO.
The WS1 design is developed in close cooperation with both class and flag state authorities which vouches for the fulfilment of relevant rules and regulations. She is also designed for manoeuvrability and low environmental impact which makes her an important part of a sustainable and safe LNG distribution solution.
During the autumn of 2010 White Smoke Shipping has sent out an RFQ to several shipyards in Europe. This RFQ have resulted in tenders from 4 able shipyards. Based on these prices White Smoke Shipping AB has the ability to give tenders for LNG bunker services in North European ports today.
